For Katzenelson, the act of painting is a Kabalistic exploration of visual abstraction. Born in Argentina under a period marked by virulent anti-Semitism, Katzenelson paints in defiance to the adversity she experienced as a child. Her paintings express the outpouring of her Jewish soul.
